Group Leader Councillor Nathan Evans welcomes the £62,000 in funding from central government for Swimming Pools in Trafford.
Funding has been awarded through the Swimming Pool Support Fund (SPSF) and a total of £60.5m has been awarded nationally to 260 local authorities to benefit a total of 325 swimming pools in the country.
It has never been more important to get and stay active, and to encourage young people to pursue active lifestyles.
Swimming pools are important centres for the pursuit of physical, social and emotional well-being and this benefits both adults and children alike.
Trafford Conservatives are thankful to see that this current government agrees, and welcomes the additional £62,000 in financial support for Trafford for the many swimming pools in the borough.
Trafford Conservatives is thankful for this additional investment and can only hope that Trafford Council spend this additional funding wisely.
