Nathan Evans, Councillor for Hale Barns and Timperley South, is proud to have been elected unanimously as the new group leader for Trafford Conservatives.
As the leader of the main opposition, Nathan Evans said,
“We have a lot to do for our residents to hold the Labour-run administration to account. We will not prop them up as the other parties have chosen to do.
Your Conservative councillors are committed to making sure we get the Labour-run council to fix the potholes and pavements, ensure our children are able to attend a local school by making sure we have enough places. And stop the council wasting taxpayers’ money on hair brained transformation teams and cones down the A56!
Whilst the other minority parties are focused on increasing parking charges, demonising car users, ever-increasing local taxation schemes and letting our children down by failing to care about our schools that make our borough unique.
We will be focusing on holding the council to account and making the borough better for our residents.
We will continue to oppose the Greater Manchester Labour Mayor, Andy Burnham’s unwanted and unnecessary ‘Clean Air Zone’, and his plan to concrete all over our Greenbelt at Carrington Moss and the Timperley Wedge.
We have a great diverse team of elected councillors, who bring with them many skills; GP, climate specialist, teacher, businessmen and ex-military to name a few.
With hardworking and popular, Cllr Dylan Butt re-elected by his residents in Hale Barns and Timperley South serving as Deputy Leader, Cllr Evans says, “We thank the residents for their confidence and are excited to get on with the job in hand.”
