Chris from Altrincham Matters is launching his second “ Happy to chat Bench” in Timperley. Chris has dedicated his life to making the people of Altrincham and Timperley have access to the latest news and views and always supports local groups and charities.
The idea is to have a plaque on the bench making it clear that people who sit on the bench are happy to chat . The Altrincham version has worked well and has been up and running since the 3rd of July 2019 Chris says "it is a way of making sure that people feel that they have somewhere to go if they need a chat."
Timperley Village is warm welcoming place and Nathan Evans the Local councillor sees the bench as a real asset to the Town. Simon Delaney from the Stonemasons Arms has given the idea a warm reception too.
The bench will launched on the 29th of Feb and it is hoped that this concept will be rolled out across Trafford.
